Echo Property Maintenance
Property Maintenance & Trades · Kent
A warm, single-page site that makes a one-man trade business feel like the safest call in Kent.
A friendly Kent handyman with the handiwork to match — finally with a website that earns the first call.
Echo Property Maintenance is a Kent-based trade business covering everything from a dripping tap to a full refit. Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tiling, roofing, fencing, emergencies — the work most customers can't find one phone number for. The business runs on word of mouth and repeat clients across Canterbury, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and the towns in between.
The brief was simple: a site that feels as approachable as the person behind it, but professional enough that a nervous first-time caller trusts the quote. No stock-photo trade clichés, no inflated claims, no jargon — just a clean, modern page that answers the obvious questions and makes getting in touch the easy option.
Selling a multi-skilled handyman in a market full of one-trick trade sites.
The property maintenance space online is a sea of Checkatrade profiles, glossy “national” operators and trade directory pages that all blur together. Small, honest, local operators rarely have a website that reflects the quality of the work — and almost never one that competes on design with the chains.
Echo needed a site that did two things at once: signal breadth (nine distinct services, no job too small) without looking like a jack-of-all-trades, and signal trust (insurance, free quotes, Kent-based) without leaning on tired stock imagery. The positioning had to feel warm, local and considered — a proper craftsman, not a call centre.
One page. Nine services. Every common objection answered before it's asked.
Instead of scattering content across a half-dozen service pages, we built Echo a deliberately single-page site — structured so a reader can scroll once and reach the quote form already convinced. Every section earns its place.
Warm, Residential Palette
Deep burgundy (#6d1d1d) against off-white and soft cream, paired with DM Serif Display for headings. A palette that reads “care and craftsmanship” rather than “white van.”
Nine-Service Grid
A clean three-by-three grid covering general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tiling, roofing, fencing and emergency call-outs — each with a short, human description, no filler.
Trust-First Copy Strategy
Fully insured, Kent-based, free quotes, no job too small — front and centre in the trust strip. “Usually within 48 hours for a site visit” builds expectation. FAQ handles the rest.
Four-Step Process Section
Call or message → site visit → honest quote → the work. Walks first-time customers through what actually happens — removing the friction of not knowing what they're signing up for.
LocalBusiness & FAQ Schema
LocalBusiness schema with service area, opening hours and contact details. FAQPage schema on the six most-asked questions — insured, how quickly, coverage area, quotes, payment, small jobs.
Frictionless Quote Path
Sticky header CTA, anchor-linked quote button in the hero, mobile tap-to-call, and a plain-English enquiry form at the bottom. No account to create, no calendar widget — just a message that reaches Matt.
A complete single-page site — hero to contact, fully wired.
Single-Page Site
Hero, trust strip, services grid, process, gallery, about, FAQ and contact — all on one page, anchor-linked from a sticky desktop nav and a mobile drawer.
Nine Service Cards
Each trade — plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tiling, roofing, fencing, general, emergency — with its own icon, short description and consistent visual weight.
Hero Video / Image
A warm, residential hero with mobile-specific imagery preloaded via <picture> for instant LCP on phones — where most trade searches happen.
Quote Form & Contact
Simple enquiry form with preferred contact method, plus tap-to-call, WhatsApp and email — routed directly to Matt's inbox. Multiple paths, zero friction.
Schema & Technical SEO
LocalBusiness schema, FAQPage schema, OpenGraph, Twitter cards, canonical, favicon set, theme-color, sitemap. Indexed cleanly across Google and Bing.
Mobile-First Build
Designed mobile-first with touch-friendly CTAs, a dedicated mobile nav drawer, a grain overlay for texture and no-jank scroll reveals throughout.
See it for yourself.
The homepage hero — warm, residential, quote-ready.
The nine-service grid — full breadth, no filler.
Four-step process — removing first-call friction.
The quote form — plain-English, mobile-first, Matt's inbox.
A proper Kent trade site — warm, trustworthy, and built to get the phone ringing.
Echo Property Maintenance now has a site that reflects the quality of the work — a warm, considered single-pager that treats homeowners like adults and makes the case for a local handyman without leaning on clichés. The quote form is live, the schema is clean, and the page loads cold on mobile in under a second.
