A proper website for your village hall.
Hand-built in Kent for halls, community groups and parish councils. Hire rates people can find, an availability calendar people can check, and a committee that never has to touch a line of code.
Empty halls don’t fund themselves.
Most village halls sit unused more than half the time — and hire fees are the majority of most halls’ income. If your hire rates, photos and availability aren’t easy to find online, the birthday parties, classes and clubs book somewhere that is. A Facebook page can’t fix that. A proper website does one job above all: it wins bookings.
One fair price, ring-fenced for community organisations.
Our standard business builds start at £849. Registered charities, constituted community groups and parish councils qualify for the Community Rate — the same hand-crafted work, scoped tightly to what a hall actually needs.
Community Build — one-off
Six hand-built pages: Home, Hire the Hall (rates, photos, floor plan), What’s On, Check Availability & Book, Gallery, and Find Us. Content written for you from one phone call.
Enquire →Community Care — billed yearly
Hosting, security, backups and unlimited small edits — new hire rates, committee changes, event listings. One annual invoice, no monthly drip, nothing for volunteers to maintain.
Enquire →Everything a hall needs. Nothing it doesn’t.
Availability & booking requests
A calendar visitors can check and a booking request form that lands in your inbox — or we embed your existing Hallmaster diary.
Domain rescue
Old domain registered years ago by a volunteer nobody can reach? We recover it through Nominet — or set up a fresh one. Either way, your hall owns it.
A proper hall email address
bookings@yourhall.org.uk instead of a personal hotmail or btinternet address — and it stays with the hall when volunteers move on.
Accessibility built in
Built to WCAG 2.2 AA with a published accessibility statement — a legal requirement for parish council sites, and the right thing to do for every village.
Content written for you
We write every page from a 20-minute phone call with your booking clerk. No homework for the committee.
Grant-funding help
We supply ready-to-send application wording for the grants that routinely fund work like this — most halls never pay out of their own funds.
Most halls don’t pay for this themselves.
Every Kent county councillor holds a discretionary Members’ Grant pot for community projects in their division — and website creation and redesign is an eligible cost. Kent village halls routinely receive £500–£3,000 from this scheme for improvements. National Lottery Awards for All and parish council grants are further routes. When you enquire, we include the grant application wording ready to send to your councillor — most committees have an answer within a meeting cycle.
Council websites, legally compliant.
Parish and town council websites are required by law to meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards and publish an accessibility statement — most older sites do neither. We build compliant council sites at the same Community Rate, including your minutes, agendas and finance publishing sections for the Transparency Code. Not sure where your current site stands? Ask us for a free accessibility check — we’ll tell you plainly.
